Quick Guide to Angelus CleanersUpdated 2 months ago

Keeping your shoes in top condition is easy with the right products and techniques. Follow these steps to clean your shoes using Angelus Direct's range of cleaning products:

Step 1: Choose Your Cleaner

  • For general cleaning: Use Angelus Easy Cleaner for a safe and effective way to clean dirt, grime, and light stains from leather, suede, nubuck, canvas, vinyl, and other materials.
  • For light and on-the-go cleaning: Angelus Foam Tex is your go-to choice. It’s gentle on the materials but tough on the toughest stains, making it perfect for a nice quick clean.
  • For deep cleaning: Angelus All Purpose Foam Cleaner is your go-to choice. It’s very strong on heavy oil and grease stains. Suggested as a last resort or on tough leather boots.
  • All-in-one kits:  Angelus Easy Cleaner Kit and Foam Tex Kit!

Step 2: Prep Your Shoes

  • Remove laces and set aside. You can clean these separately by soaking them in a mixture of water and a small amount of the cleaner of choice.
  • Use a dry brush (like the Angelus Shoe Cleaning Brush) to remove any surface dirt or debris from the shoes.

Step 3: Cleaning Process

  • Apply your chosen cleaner to a brush or cloth.
  • For the Easy Cleaner, put it directly into a bowl.
  • For Foam Tex, pump the foam directly onto the brush.
  • Gently scrub the shoes in a circular motion, focusing on soiled areas. For delicate materials like suede or nubuck, use a softer brush like the Angelus Premium Cleaning Brush to avoid damage.
  • Wipe away the foam or cleaner with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue.

Step 4: Drying and Conditioning

Step 5: Protect Your Shoes

  • To prevent future stains and make cleaning easier, spray your shoes with Angelus Water & Stain Repellent once they're clean and dry. This provides a protective layer that repels liquids and stains.
